Welcome to the Otherworldly Giant Skating Rink!

This is our pop-up Money Moving Workshop aka our ANCESTRAL ARTIST GRANT GENERATOR.

We bring together a rotating team of community organizers to practise moving money according to sacred principles of the Thriving Village.

Here, we generate rapid fire, community-raised Ancestral Artist Grants for the PLANETARY ARTIST IN RESIDENCE, and their beloved companions.

The purpose of this Money Moving Workshop is to help us re-member how to function financially, creatively and spiritually as a thriving village.

This is a paid apprenticeship, training & hands on movement work for spiritual, artistic and financial sovereignty.

If you feel strongly about our collective need to divest from over-reliance on colonial industries & ways of being, this is for you.

Here, we learn how to invest, more and more audaciously, in building self-honouring, earth-honouring, ancestor-honouring, universe-honouring, and community-honouring economies.

THIS IS FOR

ARTISTS who want to create a movement where we generate artist grants for each other without having to “go through the system.” Instead of applying for grants through someone else’s portal, we require the money we generate to align and collaborate peacefully with the portals we design for ourselves.

ACTIVISTS who want to move money according to practices of sacred reciprocity and not just through guilt, crisis, saviourship, secrecy, panic, desperation, or having to prove your suffering.

SPIRITUAL ENTREPRENEURS who want to shift into revolutionary business models that fund the entire creative process, healing journey and daily life that goes behind your services, products & programs*

This is different than creating “passive income.” It is choosing to directly fund the parts of our process that are most under-served, but that we hold most dear – including but not limited to the quiet, the private, the stillness, the dreaming, exploring, shedding, shattering, grieving, transitioning, playing, celebrating, changing.

PILOT PROGRAM

We are searching for 6 people to join our first “spiritual hockey team” and make history, herstory, themstory and us-story.

This cohort will generate the first ever SMALL THINGS ANCESTRAL ARTIST GRANT dedicated to the Planetary Artist in Residence, and their beloved companions.

We’ll show each other that we do not need to rely on government, corporate, academic or non-profit artist grants to fund our most revolutionary projects or livelihoods.

In our first workshop, we’ll practise moving money according to the principle of sacred reciprocity we find in the Thriving Village: today for you, tomorrow for me.

Criteria

For our first cohort, we are looking for six people who are experienced with fundraising or moving money in a spiritual, artistic and/or activist context.

You should have access to a social network, and an ability to move at least 5K-10K or more amongst your networks.

These means you either have established products, services or offerings and an active, invested audience…

OR, you have a platform, community and/or hoop invested in personal and planetary thriving (and willing to put money on it).

You should feel a sincere desire to advocate for the Planetary Artist in Residence as a personal and collective life path.

*Note: for subsequent cohorts, we’ll be able to train folks with varied or less experience with fundraising or moving money. For our pilot program, we’re looking for a group of folks who have a certain level of experience/access so we can focus on learning and integrating the technology. We invite all others to attend the Town Hall and continue following our journey.

Workshop

The workshop is divided into three parts.

PART ONE: TRAINING & APPRENTICESHIP

Six organizers will study “THE SPIDERWOMAN TECHNOLOGY” under our guidance. This technology teaches us to raise and exchange money according to:

principles of ancestral artistry
prophecies of ancient wisdom
practices of sacred reciprocity
protocols of the not-so-business-as-usual (during times of genocide and beyond)
promises the planet made to herself
an understanding of ancestral organizing for liberation (aka cross-cultural ancestral solidarity)

THE SPIDERWOMAN TECHNOLOGY brings forward our Ancestors and Guides who are helping us shift into this new era of Pluto in Aquarius.

Our financial practices that have worked well in the past are no longer viable (or as important) in this new era.

This technology helps us re-orient to a new era, and build a strong, solid foundation for new economies that serve our healing, our Ancestors, our movements and our planet more deeply than ever before.

In this training, you’ll formulate your personal PLUTO IN AQUARIUS WEALTH PROFILE.

You’ll study the SMALL THINGS that make up your personal contribution to this new economy: the values, interests, principles, protocols, priorities, and all the fine print.

Your personal wealth profile is an ancestor guided map, a blueprint, and an altar that will help you:

evolve your best practical and energetic wealth building strategies to bring forth unprecedented levels of thriving in the next chapter
fulfill more of your leadership: you already are a leader, but now you want to share, serve and fulfill more deeply the promise of building a global thriving village
build a foundation for the next generation, so they have a thriving planetary economy to enter; so they do not have to experience so many of the heartaches that we did; so the next phase of our intergenerational leadership is well supported

PART TWO: PRACTISE

As a team, we’ll enter an intensive together where each organizer will practise moving money according to their personal wealth profile, in service to the sacred village principle: today for you, tomorrow for me.

This principle dates back to our ancient memories of when we lived and died in thriving villages.

One person in the village comes forward and declares something they deeply care about, that they cannot accomplish alone.

When the ask comes from a place of true sincerity, self-responsibility and self love, the village surrounds that individual and ensures they get what they need.

The village pours into that one individual, until the task is accomplished.

You are the village in this workshop – your job is to advocate for the person in the center, today (your team coach – Shaunga), which also prepares you to become that person in the center tomorrow.

At the end of this practise we will have generated the very first SMALL THINGS Ancestral Artist Grant for the individual in the center of the circle, and six micro-grants that organizers keep for themselves.

You will be supported by the entire team, our team coach Shaunga, AND our incredible team of Ancestors, for the entire process.

You’ll get to experience first hand how healing it is to practise tangible ways of living like a thriving village – AND it’ll be FUN!

When the person in the center receives their artist grant, they self-determine how they want to use the money.

When we generate our first grant, we will practise receiving it according to the Rule of 4ths:

The person in the center keeps some
Some goes to the Ancestors (aka a specific purpose that feeds their Ancestors)
Some is split between our organizers (creating a series of off-shoot micro artist grants)
Some is given back (to a relationship or cause we love)

PART THREE: REFLECTION AND TOWN HALL

After we finish our practise, we’ll gather again to reflect on everything we learned from the experience.

We’ll invite our communities into a Town Hall where you can share your thoughts, ask questions, and ask our Ancestral Councils for guidance moving forward.

We’re not just practising a one-and-done thing, we are building a movement that more and more people can practise, buy into, and benefit from.

We’re looking to put together our first team at the Otherworldly Giants Spiritual Skating Rink: Proud Home of the Mighty Mighty Ancestral Muck Ducks!

(Okay, our team name is a throw back to Shaunga’s favourite movie from grade two, Mighty Ducks 2; one of her favourite jokes from The Office, and a tribute to those of us who really HAVE been through the Ancestral-Muck-Duck and lived to tell the tale!!)

We are currently accepting recommendations, nominations and letters of interest.

We are looking for the six absolute best suited people for this first cohort.

It’s more important to us to put together the right team, rather than do this on any sort of deadline.

Thus, when our first workshop takes place is TBD.

That said, note the purpose of this workshop is to generate rapid-fire community-raised artist grants. The SpiderWoman Technology teaches us to hone in on the most easeful and efficient route of wealth available to you.

This is not about trudging around for months on end, pulling teeth to raise money.

We estimate all three parts of our first workshop can be accomplished in 1-2 months or less. Once we get the right team together, we’ll re-evaluate what kind of workshop structure works best.

In other words, we’ll work with your schedule. The workshop structure we design will be a divine collaboration with you. It will support your current projects and be an extension of what you’re already doing.
