I’m Looking for a Big Deal (ISO: Co-Producer)

I’m looking for a Big Deal! AKA a Co-Producer and source of shared peer support.

I am Shaunga. I am a Storyteller, Death Doula, Spiritual Midwife and trained Ceremonialist. I am an artist of many trades, and an altar carrier in the field of Ancestor Theatre.

I am a “See-er,” a Planet Whisperer (with specializations in Animal Whispering), Celestial Researcher, and Spiritual Diagnostician. I have extensive experience with Ancestor Dreaming technologies.

I consider myself a Multiverse Historian. A Spiritually-Grounded Political Analyst. A huge Storytelling + Metaphysics Nerd. I am a Furrever Cat Mama, a Queer Community Auntie, a Professional Grief Worker, and Professional Griever.

In recent years I’ve turned my attention toward studying Regenerative Economics and Abolitionist Village Building, from a perspective of Ancestor Dreaming technologies.

In a Co-Producer, I am looking for someone who is:

• experienced with Ancestor Dreaming technologies

• a trained, well-practised, well-purposed spiritual practitioner, ceremonialist, medicine carrier, spiritual doula and/or energy worker in your own lineages/traditions (or whatever names you use in this vein)

• a fellow “see-er” or expertised in your unique spiritual gifts

• a spiritual abolitionist* with deep understanding of our global political realities, with spiritual perspectives on activist movements

• a beyond-lifetime commitment to solidarity with Black feminist spiritual traditions, Indigenous resurgence, land-back movements, liberation for global south, caste-oppressed communities, and our animal and plant relatives

• you’ve made the necessary offerings and sacrifices to get through major initiations of spiritual decolonization (IYKYK)

• high levels of discernment and capability when navigating the spirit realm, including spiritual protection, spiritual boundaries, spiritual hygiene

• you love exploring cosmic, galactic, celestial research, and are nerdy about the multiverse

• you are super nerdy about art, stories and storytelling

• dedicated solidarity and/or lived experience with queer, trans, disabled, survivor communities

• you are leading/holding big visions, prayers, worlds and ancestral dreams coming into fruition

• invested in co-creating ecosystems for economic justice, regenerative/reparative economies, abolitionist village building, a grief-centered way of life, queer/trans alivelihood, and abundant, flourishing opportunities for artists, healers and earth stewards

• invested in prioritizing ancestor-healing approaches to care, accessibility, and holistic support for spiritual workers and caregivers, especially given how antagonizing and exploitative liberation movements can be toward Black/brown women/femmes/trans people in this category

*I recognize and respect we all may use different language to describe ourselves for important reasons. It is completely fine with me if you use different language than what I’ve described above, as long as we are in spiritual/political alignment on the work itself.

NUMBER ONE

*jokes on me because I never wanted one of those all throughout business school. but here I am eating my own words…again!

I am craving a space of mutual recognition. I want this to be a space of shared camaraderie and exchange where we both feel seen, heard, held, full, and respected.

Necessarily, to work together in this way, it must be clear on both ends that our dreams, projects, medicine practice and ancestors are weaving together in kinship, in solidarity, in brilliance, and…live, in technicolour!

I am a Heavy Duty Healer. I carry Big, Deep, Expansive Medicine. I am a Death Walk-Rock-and-Roller.

I move with an extreme amount of Strength and Abundance when it comes to my skills as a Ceremonialist.

This does lead to some issues in that I often find myself doing too much on my own, without adequate support (ie, just because I can do a lot on my own, that doesn’t mean I should.)

I am looking for someone who is already swimming in the depth of waters as me, and who already can and does hold their own while sitting next to me.

Necessarily – the person I’m looking for is a BIG DEAL…and knows it.

I want to come together with the explicit goal of raising money together.

My project(s) need big money. I’m guessing yours does too.

• can we put our skills together and move money into each other’s projects?
• can we put our heads, hearts, and minds together, and make some kind of miracle(s)?
• together, can we secure some BIG DEALS, for yours and for mine…
• …that also benefits the communities and matters we advocate for?

A little bit about (some) of my current projects:

I am in the midst of developing a big research project on a Village Artist Grant Ecosystem.

This is a vision, and ancestral promise, that has emerged from my grief, lived experience, love, joy and commitment to our planet, our beyond-human relatives, and our descendants.

For the last few years it has been in early stages of development, and now it is developed enough to start receiving attention and resources from bigger funders.

A Village Artist Grant Ecosystem is a collective financial organizing strategy and social advocacy campaign rooted in ancestor dreaming technologies.

It teaches us collective organizing as sacred geometry, land and star mapping, and personal/planetary altar carrying.

It investigates the roles and technologies of “Ancestor Theatre” as the building blocks of regenerative, grief-centered economies.

It holds us accountable to exchanging resources and moving money according to the Indigenous land agreements of any place, and Black Feminist solidarity commitments.

at its heart, this ecosystem is designed to transform disenfranchised labour into beloved, cherished, paid village roles, which then grows into a movement, an economy, and an era for artists who work for the planet.

this is a multi-generational ancestral promise to take back our power of public funding.

this is about collectively creating the conditions for divestment economies, solidarity economies, reparations economies, liberation economies.

Some highlights that I want to see grow through this work in the coming years:

• artist grants for disenfranchised labour: we move money to fund the kind of labour that no other paradigm will fund, but that keep movements, families, generations, and selves alive. Village Raised Artist Grants to rest, play, grieve, move through conflict, make new friends, take care of animals and children, tend to the land and body, invest in healing yourself, get out of abusive relationships, and so much more.

• build a movement for the storyteller as planet whisperer: resource major storytelling projects that work in divination, ceremony, solidarity, and direct collaboration with the land, ancestors and beyond-human relatives…and feed this work in collaboration with climate justice activists, ecological advocacy, environmental scientists, holistic planetary research, afro-indigenous land stewardship, and the next generation of young artists who work for the planet

• “back in the day, the village took care of its artists, healers and earth stewards” – a hands-on research practicum and thriving village prototype, where we bring a cohort together to practise and experience this principle, for real.

co-producer: preferred and desired skills

I can adjust any of these for the right person.

• you have experience moving large wads of money (fundraising, mutual aid, producer work, etc)
• you have experience with law / litigation / drawing + securing contracts with big funders
• based in the US or access to a US address (cross-border turtle island collabs)

Essentially, I understand my work is at a point where it needs access to bigger pools of money in order to survive, grow and thrive. I’d like support in areas that I have less skills, or where I’d rather not put my energy, like all the ‘back end’ work that goes with securing big contracts from multiple sources…while also preserving the integrity and freedom of the work/vision.

My skills: I can read the spiritual fine print LIKE NOBODY’S BUSINESS. I’ve done a massive amount of research on new economy building. I know what this work needs from a place of deep ancestor collaboration. I provide high quality divination, guidance, peer support, and holistic financial healing for the spiritual abolitionist. I can write/edit/support with grant writing. I know how to pitch this work in any direction. I can Olivia Pope in any area you need support. I’m a Mama Bear. I offer extremely strong spiritual protection. And, I’d love to support any artistic projects you’ve got on the go – I’m a very talented and experienced artistic/spiritual coach and guide, if I do dare to toot my own horn (which, I do dare.)

Although I take a ceremonialist and spiritual approach to interweaving global liberation politics…which doesn’t always align with non-spiritually grounded political strategizing. Just saying this upfront, because you deserve to know where I stand on this particular issue without having to search my content for the answer.
