Otherworldly Giants Storytelling School is currently running a program at Wildseed Centre for Arts and Activism called The Ancestors Writers Room.
Between now and December, we’re dreaming our wildest visions for life-giving, heart-healing programming we want to see and experience in 2027 and beyond.
We want you to follow along our journey and get inspired as we share our ideas with you.
Stay updated by joining our free substack newsletter.
Here, we’ll share detailed visions on pilot programs and community spaces that we could bring to life in 2027.
WE WANT YOUR VOTE! Everyone who makes a contribution to our kickstarter fund will have the opportunity to vote on the program you most want funded in 2027.
At the end of December, we’ll gather all votes and decide what we want to focus on and put into action, based on how much money we raise, and where our spirits are collectively calling us.
FUNDS RAISED IN 2026 WILL GO TOWARD:
• a living and thriving wage for core organizers
• an Animal Elder Fund to support
end-of-life, transition, and after-life journeys
for beloved animals
and their Queer and Trans humans
• an audacious accessibility budget
for Wildseed Centre
• special gifts for folks who help us make this Kickstarter a success
• building capacity and funds for our
most exciting, sorely needed
programming in 2027
…including paid positions for
oracle researchers, designers,
community consultants
and support workers…
…and financially supported spaces
that community can access
at low-no cost,
including healing circles,
artist + writer retreats and more.
WHY WE NEED YOUR ENERGY & GENEROSITY
the principle behind this kickstarter: we are at a time when too many of our most important artists, healers, community members and local spaces are losing funding or are otherwise stretched way too thin.
It is of utmost importance that we build a culture of deciding for ourselves what we want to fund, and do it on our own terms.
We want to fund not just the programs, but the thriving village principles behind the work.
We must remember that capitalist and colonial corporations, institutions, governments and non-profits will never fully protect our most revolutionary and devoted offerings.
FIRE UP
our kickstarter now.

Join Shaunga as she promotes this kickstarter with open heart surgery storytelling.
Here, we turn to stories emerging from our dream world, the whispers of nature, stars and the spirit world, as well scripts from beloved TV, film and books.
(yes, we study stories we love even if they are super problematic.)
Shaunga is a long-time SEE-ER, oracle reader, and planet whisperer.
Tune in as she performs divination on stories to unearth
thriving village principles,
important messages of guidance and direction for our times,
and how we address some of the toughest
personal and collective questions in front of humanity.
let’s sweeten
the pot.
We’re adding some sweet extras you access
when you make a contribution to our Kickstarter:
• pitch an idea to make one of our pilot programs even more exciting,
or pitch your own program!
• let us know more about who you are:
your gifts, skill-set, life’s work,
what you have to offer,
what you want to receive or experience.
This helps us understand
more about our collective village wealth,
so we can create space in our programming,
or create exciting paid roles.
• submit a question for Shaunga to address
during one of her Planet Whispering readings.
Let us know your confusions, concerns and commitments
for your life and life on the planet –
your Q may be picked for a reading!
• submit a request for a TV or film
that you want an open heart surgery on.
Below we’re doing a series
on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Other stories on the docket include
Avatar the Last Airbender,
