In episode two, Shaunga finds out that her Future Partner™ has been secretly following her public facing work for a lot longer than she thought.
We find out that their paths crossed 11 years ago, when he saw Shaunga perform at a queer cabaret show on her birthday in 2013. This was right when he first started dating the person who would become his first serious long-term relationship. This relationship would eventually tear open his ancestral wounds, shatter him so completely and bring him to his knees – a place that only Spirit can truly speak to, let alone heal.
