When choosing an amount please consider the work we do lives in a realm of chronic, systemic and cultural exploitation – in spiritual communities, artistic communities and activist communities alike. Consider that the stewards of this space are survivors of financial abuse. Consider that the work we do is essential, deeply needed labour on the planet, that everyone benefits from – that we are culturally taught to “skimp” on, and trained to give big corporations our money and devotion instead.
Consider the truth and reality of your financial circumstances and responsibilities to heal / re-balance your lineage. Do not make an offering that causes undo harm or hardship on your livelihood, but do be generous with (re)directing your resources where they are needed.
Most of all – make an offering that is infused with your desire and need to return to a global, thriving village way of life. Make an offering that expresses your commitment and longing to co-create a village funding reality that protects the specific kind of labour that makes wide scale transformation possible.
